The Role – Geography Supply Teacher in Watford
As a Geography Supply Teacher, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum to KS3 and KS4 pupils.

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively to create a focused learning environment.

  • Ensuring continuity of learning during the absence of the full-time teacher by following existing schemes of work.

  • Adapting teaching strategies to meet the varied needs of students, including SEN and EAL learners.

  • Marking and assessing work where appropriate and providing feedback in line with school policies.

  • Liaising with the Head of Department and wider staff team to ensure a smooth transition for students.

Candidate Requirements – Geography Supply Teacher

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3 & KS4) in the UK.

  • Strong classroom management skills and adaptability.

  • A specialism in Physical Geography would be an advantage, but is not essential.

  • A genuine enthusiasm for the subject and a commitment to student progress.
