As a Primary Teacher (QTS), you will work across a range of Mainstream and SEN schools in Hertfordshire, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils with diverse learning needs. Opportunities are available on a part time or full time basis to suit your availability.
Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher (QTS)
As a Primary Teacher (QTS), your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum

Adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Working collaboratively with SENCOs, Teaching Assistants, and other professionals

Assessing pupil progress and adjusting teaching to support individual learning outcomes

Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently

Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Upholding safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
This Primary Teacher (QTS) role allows you to build strong relationships with pupils while making a meaningful difference across Hertfordshire schools.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a Primary Teacher (QTS) who meets the following criteria:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

Experience teaching in UK Primary schools

Confidence working in Mainstream and/or SEN settings

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
A flexible, positive, and proactive approach

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Previous SEN experience is highly desirable but not essential for the right Primary Teacher (QTS).
