About the Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE content
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet a range of learning needs
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with SEND, including autism and communication needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and wider support staff
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and pupil outcomes where appropriate
  • Promote pupil confidence, independence and engagement in learning

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Science Teacher who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level
  • Knowledge of GCSE Science curriculum requirements
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, or a willingness to work within a specialist setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible, patient and positive approach to teaching
