Are you a compassionate, patient and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in a child’s life? SENDHelp Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive special educational needs school in Bexley that is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to provide individual support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with special educational needs.

• Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage confidence and engagement.

• Support the delivery of personalised learning programmes.

• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities.

• Assist with communication, emotional regulation and social development.

• Promote independence while ensuring the pupil feels safe and supported.

• Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.

• Record progress and contribute to reviews of the pupil’s development.

• Support with personal care where required.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.

• Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs or complex learning needs is highly desirable.

• A calm, caring and resilient approach.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• The ability to remain patient and positive in challenging situations.

• A genuine passion for helping children succeed.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
