SENDHelp Education is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Primary SEND Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive specialist primary school in Essex from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to helping children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with a range of SEND, creating a positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
As a Primary SEND Teacher, you will:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Adapt teaching strategies to respond to the individual strengths, needs and learning styles of all pupils.

Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge across the primary age range.

Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, using assessment to inform future planning.
-
Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and independence.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, SENCOs and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers to support children’s development and wellbeing.

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and personal development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
-
UPR2 or equivalent teaching experience.
-
Previous experience teaching within a primary setting, ideally supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Excellent knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.

The ability to plan and teach well-structured, differentiated lessons.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs.

Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
