We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a welcoming and well-established early years setting in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate childcare professional who is committed to delivering outstanding care and education while supporting and developing a dedicated nursery team.

About the Nursery

This nurturing nursery provides high-quality early years education and care for children from 3 months to 5 years, creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team to deliver outstanding childcare.
• Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across the setting.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Support staff recruitment, induction, training and performance.
• Monitor children’s learning and development and ensure accurate records are maintained.
• Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required.

About You

• Previous experience as a Senior Leader within a nursery setting is essential.
• Hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
• Confident leading teams and supporting staff development.
• Passionate about providing exceptional care and learning opportunities for young children.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
