This Nursery Assistant position requires a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.

What Will You Be Doing?

Working as a Nursery Assistant means being actively involved throughout the nursery day.

You’ll work alongside experienced early years professionals in Bristol to provide a positive, stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure and confident enough to explore.

Your responsibilities as a Nursery Assistant in Bristol will include:

• Creating fun and engaging learning opportunities through play.

• Supporting activities that promote children’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.

• Helping deliver the EYFS curriculum.

• Observing children’s progress and celebrating their achievements.

• Supporting children with communication and language development.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and independence.

• Helping children with personal care, mealtimes and daily routines when required.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and stimulating nursery environment.

• Building positive relationships with children, parents and carers.

• Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies.

• Working closely with other members of the Bristol early years team.

The Nursery Assistant We’re Looking For

To join us as a Nursery Assistant, you’ll need to be patient, dependable, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about supporting young children.

For this Nursery Assistant role in Bristol, you must have:

✓ A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification – ESSENTIAL

✓ Knowledge of the EYFS

✓ An understanding of safeguarding and children’s welfare

✓ Strong communication and teamwork skills

✓ A positive and nurturing approach to working with children

Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool or other early years environment in Bristol or elsewhere would be highly beneficial.
