โฐ Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:45 PM (Monday-Friday), plus a weekly staff meeting until 4:30 PM
Are you a passionate and dedicated primary teacher looking for a rewarding role in an SEN setting? We are currently recruiting for a primary teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Watford, supporting children with complex learning needs.
About the Role:
As a primary teacher in this SEN school in Watford, you will:

Lead a small KS1 or KS2 class of pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), supported by experienced teaching assistants.

Deliver engaging, sensory-based lessons tailored to pupils working at EYFS to KS1 levels.
โ
Use alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, and visual aids to support learners.
โ
Implement behaviour management strategies to create a safe and structured learning environment.
โ
Work closely with therapists and SEN specialists to support the holistic development of pupils.
โ
Plan, assess, and differentiate lessons to ensure all pupils make progress.
Requirements (Essential):
โ๏ธ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
โ๏ธ Experience as a primary teacher in an SEN setting.
โ๏ธ Strong understanding of SLD, ASD, and sensory-based teaching approaches.
โ๏ธ Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and proactively.
