Your Role as a SEND Class Teacher in Windsor and Maidenhead
As a SEND Class Teacher, you’ll take responsibility for a specialist class, working alongside Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals to create an engaging, safe and highly personalised learning environment.
Depending on your experience and the needs of the specialist setting in Windsor and Maidenhead, you could work with pupils across Early Years, Primary, Secondary or Post-16.
Your responsibilities will include:

Creating a structured, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.

Leading and effectively deploying SEND Teaching Assistants within your classroom.

What We’re Looking For
For this SEND Class Teacher role in Windsor and Maidenhead, we’re looking for a teacher who understands that progress within specialist education looks different for every pupil.
You should:

Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.

Have experience teaching or supporting children or young people with SEND.

Understand differentiated and personalised teaching.

Be confident adapting learning for pupils working across different developmental levels.

Be able to plan effectively around individual EHCP outcomes.

Be confident leading and supporting a classroom team.

Have excellent communication and collaborative working skills.

Be passionate about helping pupils develop their independence and prepare for their future.
Experience supporting pupils with autism, MLD, SLD, PMLD, sensory needs, communication difficulties or other complex needs would be particularly beneficial.
