SENDhelp is recruiting an experienced 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant to support a child joining Reception at a welcoming primary school in Haslemere, Surrey.

We are looking for a confident and nurturing 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant with strong SEND experience who can provide consistent individual support throughout the school day. This fantastic opportunity in Haslemere, Surrey would suit someone experienced in supporting young children with additional needs.

What We’re Looking For

The successful 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant will:

• Have previous SEND and 1:1 experience

• Be trained and experienced in Positive Touch and physical restraint/intervention

• Understand de-escalation and positive behaviour support

• Be calm, patient, resilient and nurturing

• Confidently support emotional regulation, transitions and challenging behaviour

• Work effectively alongside teachers, SENDCo and other professionals

As a 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant in Haslemere, Surrey, you will help the child settle into Reception, access learning, develop independence and build positive relationships.
